• Prohibits residential care facilities for the elderly from requiring advance notice to terminate admission agreements upon a resident's death

• Bars facilities from accruing fees once all of a deceased resident's personal property is removed from the facility

• Requires facilities to issue refunds within 15 days for any advance fees paid covering the time period after the deceased resident's personal property has been removed

• Mandates facilities provide written notice within 3 days of a resident's death regarding the facility's policies on contract termination and refunds

• Requires admission agreements to include the conditions under which refunds will be issued upon a resident's death
