AB 2740 Summary

• Extends the operation of the Bureau of Electronic and Appliance Repair, Home Furnishings, and Thermal Insulation to January 1, 2019, subject to legislative review as if scheduled for repeal.

• Requires the bureau to report to legislative committees by July 1, 2015, addressing seven specific issues including revenue projections, pro rata cost allocation, license renewal frequency, market condition assessments, license consolidation, product failure rates, and BreEZe system implementation status.
