Extends the sunset date for community college registered nursing program multicriteria screening process provisions from January 1, 2016 to January 1, 2020.

Requires the Chancellor of the California Community Colleges to submit annual reports to the Legislature and Governor beginning March 1, 2015, examining participation, retention, and completion rates of students admitted through multicriteria screening, disaggregated by age, gender, ethnicity, and home language.

Maintains existing requirements for nursing programs using multicriteria screening to evaluate applicants based on academic credentials, GPA, work/volunteer experience, life experiences, and proficiency in specified languages.

Allows programs to incorporate additional criteria such as personal interviews, personal statements, and letters of recommendation, and to use approved diagnostic assessment tools before, during, or after the screening process.

Requires nursing programs using multicriteria screening to report their admissions policies annually to the chancellor, including the weight given to each criterion and demographic information on admitted and program-completing students.
