Requires the State Department of Social Services to implement a 2-year pilot project in Sacramento and Yolo counties to study the relationship between crisis respite care and reported child abuse incidents.

Pilot project implementation is contingent upon all crisis nurseries in those counties voluntarily participating and providing private funding for 50% of project costs.

Requires the department to report study results to the Legislature on or before December 31, 2016.

This section expires and is repealed on January 1, 2017, unless extended by later legislation enacted before that date.
