Department of Veterans Affairs must create a prioritized list of unused or underutilized nonresidential real property it owns by July 1, 2016.

Department must propose one or more potential uses for each property that benefit California veterans, considering housing, supportive services, and health care/mental health care.

Department must evaluate its property inventory as an integrated system and address how prospective uses of different properties could complement each other.

Legislature acknowledges that further study and evaluation may be necessary to determine feasibility and implementation steps for any identified use options.
