Permits recognized collective bargaining representatives of appointed peace officers, District Attorneys, and Deputy District Attorneys to file written demands for nondisclosure of home addresses and telephone numbers on behalf of these officials.

Expands existing law that previously allowed only employers, related governmental entities, and voluntary professional associations to act as agents for making nondisclosure demands.

Written demands made by collective bargaining representatives must include a statement describing a threat or fear for the safety of the official or any person at the official's home address.

Requires persons, businesses, or associations receiving written demands to remove the official's home address or telephone number from public Internet display within 48 hours and prohibits reposting on the same or other websites maintained by the recipient.
