Requests the California Maternal Mental Health Collaborative to establish a task force on maternal mental health care status

Task force should consist of 12 to 18 members appointed by the Collaborative in consultation with Assembly and Senate Health Committees, including representatives from state health departments, First 5 California, and medical organizations

Task force shall study barriers to screening and diagnosis, current treatment options for privately insured and publicly insured populations, and evidence-based treatment options scalable in public and private health settings

Task force must meet at least eight times annually and submit recommendations in a white paper by December 31, 2015, addressing necessary changes in state and county programs

Members will not receive compensation but may be reimbursed for travel expenses; task force funding to come from private sources
