Declares November 8, 2014, as California Solar Professionals Day in California

Recognizes that California leads the nation in solar projects with more than 1,861 solar companies employing over 47,223 workers

Notes that California installed 2,746 megawatts of solar electricity capacity in 2013, ranking first nationally, with enough installed power to serve more than 1.7 million homes

Highlights that job growth in the solar sector is nearly 5 times faster than the statewide growth rate, with 49 percent of solar companies expected to add employees and 73 percent of new solar jobs being newly created positions

Directs the Chief Clerk of the Assembly to transmit copies of the resolution to the author for appropriate distribution
