• Urges the U.S. President and Congress to restore and continue funding for sickle cell anemia centers and research programs

• Urges Congress to support the Sickle Cell Anemia Demonstration Program, the Registry and Surveillance System for Hemoglobinopathy Program Initiative, and the Public Health Approach Disorders program

• Directs the California Assembly Chief Clerk to transmit copies of the resolution to the President, Vice President, Congress members, and California's federal representatives
