Students using Cal Grants or Pell Grants to pay tuition at qualifying institutions remain eligible to apply for payment from the Student Tuition Recovery Fund.

When a Cal Grant student's application for Student Tuition Recovery Fund payment is approved, the bureau shall transfer that payment amount to the Student Aid Commission.

The Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education must adopt regulations governing Student Tuition Recovery Fund administration, assessments, and student claims procedures.

The bill becomes operative only if another act delays or eliminates the January 1, 2015 repeal date of the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009.
