CA SB1071

Adds Section 3534.5 to the Government Code establishing shift selection rights for excluded state employees who are supervisory employees.

Allows supervisory excluded employees at workplaces with two or more daily shifts to use seniority within their classification to obtain a preferred shift.

Limits shift selection rights to 60 percent of available positions within the same classification scheduled for a shift, as designated by the employer.

Exempts peace officers employed by the Department of the California Highway Patrol and Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation from these provisions.
