Extends the duration of a single law enforcement assistance request from 6 months to 12 months when premises or property is closed to the public and posted as being closed

Requires the requestor to inform the law enforcement agency when assistance is no longer desired before the 12-month period expires

Specifies that requests for assistance automatically expire upon transfer of property ownership or change in the person in lawful possession

Maintains existing provisions allowing separate requests for peace officer assistance on each occasion, and 30-day requests during fire hazards or owner absence
