CA SB1415

Abolishes the existing 20-member Bay Area Air Quality Management Advisory Council and reconstitutes it with 7 appointed members effective July 1, 2015.

Requires new council members to be skilled and experienced in air pollution, climate change, or health impacts of air pollution, with diverse perspectives, expertise, and backgrounds.

Retains the chair of the district board as an ex officio member of the council.

Terminates all existing council member appointments as of July 1, 2015.

Provides for state reimbursement to local agencies if the Commission on State Mandates determines the bill contains state-mandated costs.
