CA SB1421

Authorizes the State Allocation Board to give priority on its Unfunded Approval-Lack of Authority List to applications submitted before May 1, 2014, for state funding of schools located on military installations that are eligible for federal Department of Defense school construction grants.

Priority applies to applications for schools on military installations, except that facility hardship projects receive priority over military base school applications.

School districts that request this priority cannot apply for state school facilities bond funds for 3 years after the board grants the priority.

Adds Section 17070.72 to the Education Code to establish these priority provisions.
