CA SB1428

Requires the Department of Developmental Services and Department of General Services to confer and cooperate with public and private entities to develop an improvement and redevelopment plan before any sale, lease, transfer, or major change of use of the Sonoma Developmental Center

Mandates consultation with Department of Parks and Recreation, Department of Fish and Wildlife, San Francisco Bay Conservancy Program, Sonoma County, local government entities, resident representatives, and interested nonprofits

Authorizes the redevelopment plan to include new or improved residential care facilities, permanent protection of wildlife habitat corridor connecting Sonoma Mountain and Mayacamas Mountain Range, public recreational facilities, and water supply facility expansion

Does not apply to actions taken by the Department of General Services pursuant to Section 4474.1
