Prohibits requiring a copy of the prescription with pharmacy service payment requests unless the provider has entered into a written agreement that specifies this requirement.

Allows entities to resubmit pharmacy bills denied for lack of prescription copies between January 1, 2013 and March 31, 2014.

Clarifies that employers, insurers, pharmacy benefits managers, and third-party claims administrators may still request prescription copies during reviews of dispensed prescription drug records.

Takes effect immediately as an urgency statute to protect injured workers' access to medically necessary medications.
