Regional centers must pay any copayments, coinsurance, or deductibles imposed by private health insurance for services or supports required in a consumer's individual program plan (IPP) or individualized family services plan (IFSP)

Regional centers cannot impose share of cost or income requirements on consumers or families for these insurance payments, and cannot seek reimbursement for payments made

Regional centers may pay families directly, reimburse providers, or pay health insurers/health care service plans for the required copayments and deductibles

Consumers and families must provide documentation confirming that payments are for services established in their IPP or IFSP

The Department of Developmental Services must establish application and documentation forms to implement these provisions
