Requires the California State Board of Pharmacy to conduct a survey of licensed pharmacists to determine utilization of standardized directions for use on prescription drug labels, including frequency of use, barriers to use, and alternative directions utilized.

Requires the board to conduct a separate survey of electronic health record (EHR) vendors serving pharmacies and prescribers to identify what directions for use are included in their EHR programming and any barriers to implementing standardized directions.

Authorizes the board to conduct these surveys as part of its routine survey activities during regular business operations.

Requires the board to report aggregate survey findings at its July 2016 board meeting and publish the findings on its Internet website.

Sunsets December 31, 2019, unless extended by statute enacted before that date.
