Requires marriage and family therapists, licensed educational psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, and licensed professional clinical counselors to retain client health service records for a minimum of 7 years from the date therapy is terminated

For minor clients, records must be retained for a minimum of 7 years from the date the client reaches 18 years of age

Health service records may be retained in either written or electronic format

Requirements apply only to clients or patients whose therapy is terminated on or after January 1, 2015

No state reimbursement is required because the bill creates violations that are crimes under existing law
