CA SB842

Requires the Department of Transportation to erect generic directional signs on state highways pointing to each Veterans' Home of California at appropriate locations.

Signs must be funded by nonstate sources; the state is not required to pay for the signage.

Sign placement must comply with criteria for federal or state hospital signage as specified in the California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.

Applies to all Veterans' Homes of California established under the Military and Veterans Code.
