Extends the statute of limitations for prosecuting specified felony sex crimes committed against victims under 18 years of age from the victim's 28th birthday to the victim's 40th birthday

Applies to offenses including rape, sodomy, lewd or lascivious acts with children, oral copulation, continuous sexual abuse of a child, and sexual penetration

Takes effect for crimes committed on or after January 1, 2015, or for crimes where the previous statute of limitations had not expired as of January 1, 2015

Establishes a 10-year statute of limitations for felony offenses described in subdivision (c) of Section 290 when the extended statute does not apply
