Extends exemption for glass beverage, food, and drink containers from hazardous waste regulations until January 1, 2019 (previously expired January 1, 2010)

Requires Department of Toxic Substances Control to evaluate glass containers sold in California to determine if regulated metals (lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium) are present and whether they can leach into food or beverages

Directs department to assess whether metals in glass containers pose risks to human health and the environment, and authorizes adoption of regulations based on evaluation results

Requires department to provide evaluation results to Legislature by January 1, 2018

Authorizes department to seek reimbursement from glass manufacturers and raw material suppliers for reasonable costs related to collecting samples, analyzing data, and implementing any resulting regulations
