Requires elected state and local officers to forfeit office upon conviction under the federal Stolen Valor Act of 2013 or California Stolen Valor Act for fraudulent claims of military service made with intent to obtain money, property, or tangible benefit

Defines "tangible benefit" to include financial remuneration, effects on court proceedings, and military-related benefits from governmental entities, but excludes effects on elections

Expands misdemeanor penalties for falsely representing oneself as a veteran or armed forces member to include cases where the person intends to obtain money, property, or tangible benefit

Creates new misdemeanor offenses for forging military documentation, wearing unauthorized uniforms or medals to deceive for financial gain, using falsified military identification, and misrepresenting military status for employment or business promotion purposes

Exempts the state from reimbursing local agencies for costs associated with the new crimes created by this bill
