AB 18 - Disaster Relief: South Napa Earthquake

• Adds the August 24, 2014, South Napa Earthquake to the list of qualifying disasters for maximum state disaster assistance funding under the California Disaster Assistance Act.

• Allows the state to provide up to 100% of eligible costs for South Napa Earthquake relief, compared to the standard 75% state share for other disasters.

• The increased state share applies only where the Federal Emergency Management Agency or applicable federal agency has approved the federal share of costs.

• Takes effect immediately as an urgency statute to enable timely relief distribution to earthquake victims.
