Approves provisions of a memorandum of understanding between the state employer and State Bargaining Unit 6 (California Correctional Peace Officers Association) that require expenditure of funds

Allows approved provisions to take effect even if approved through legislation other than the annual Budget Act, contrary to existing law

Provisions will not take effect unless funds are specifically appropriated by the Legislature; if funds are not appropriated, the state employer and employee organization must meet and confer to renegotiate

Takes effect immediately as an urgency statute to facilitate orderly administration of state government in the 2015-16 fiscal year
