Appropriates $1,315,000 from the General Fund to the Regents of the University of California for allocation to UC Merced for public safety purposes.

Funds include $420,000 for a mobile incident management vehicle and equipment, $200,000 for safety improvements to an energy dissipator on Fairfield Canal, and $150,000 for a mobile use of force options system.

Additional funding covers traffic management boards ($40,000), fire safety equipment ($45,000), license plate recognition camera systems ($40,000), evacuation chairs ($140,000), and automated external defibrillators ($52,000).

Remaining funds allocated for in-car video systems ($42,000), crime scene mapping ($75,000), portable wireless cameras ($60,000), crowd control barriers ($36,000), and other emergency response equipment.
