Commission may require electronic verification of high school graduation or equivalent for grade 12 pupils who graduated from public schools and charter schools in the prior academic year, except those who opted out.

Commission must provide guidance to high schools and districts to ensure graduation verification occurs as soon as possible after a pupil's graduation and no later than August 31 of the academic year following graduation.

Requirement applies to pupils who graduate during the summer following the grade 12 academic year.
