Amends Penal Code Section 1203 to require courts to find "good cause" before granting a defendant's request to continue a sentencing hearing when the probation department fails to provide the probation sentencing report by the required 5-day or 9-day deadline.

Maintains existing requirement that probation officers provide written reports to courts and parties at least 5 days (or 9 days upon request) before sentencing hearings, unless waived by written or oral stipulation.

Prevents automatic continuances based solely on late probation reports; courts must make an affirmative finding of good cause to delay sentencing proceedings.
