Establishes a grant program to provide funding to school districts for establishment of up to 100 STEM partnership academies starting in the 2017-18 school year

Eligible partnership academies must include rigorous academics, career technical education, committed teaching teams, and active business and postsecondary partnerships focused on STEM occupations

Requires proposed academies to focus on emerging technologies and state-of-the-art equipment through coursework, internships, and preapprenticeship programs with input from industry and professional organizations

Mandates staff development opportunities to train teachers in emerging technologies, new equipment, and current STEM field practices

Grants priority consideration to proposals that address participation of pupils traditionally underrepresented in STEM education or professions
