Requires California State University and California Community Colleges to provide students with information about insurance affordability programs, including Medi-Cal and Covered California enrollment assistance, beginning with the 2017-18 academic year.

Allows campuses to meet requirements by developing informational items, amending enrollment forms or websites, or including factsheets explaining health care coverage options.

Extends the repeal date for existing public school health care coverage information requirements from January 1, 2019 to January 1, 2021.

Prohibits discrimination against students without health coverage or those seeking health care information.

All new provisions under this act expire January 1, 2021, unless extended by subsequent legislation.
