CA AB2331

Adds the American Board of Dental Examiners, Inc. clinical and written examination as an alternative option for dentistry license applicants, alongside existing Western Regional Examining Board and portfolio examinations.

Requires the Department of Finance's Office of Professional Examination Services to review and approve the American Board of Dental Examiners examination for compliance with examination standards before implementation.

Mandates that the American Board of Dental Examiners, Inc. pay all costs and expenses incurred by the Dental Board for reviewing and implementing this examination requirement.

Authorizes the Department of Finance to accept funds deposited into the Special Deposit Fund for reviewing and analyzing the American Board of Dental Examiners examination, creating a continuously appropriated fund.

Contains operative language that Section 1.5 (alternative version of Section 1632) only becomes effective if both AB 2331 and SB 1478 are enacted before January 1, 2017, and AB 2331 is enacted after SB 1478.
