• Schools must share assessment outcomes with pupils, parents, teachers, and school personnel to develop corrective action recommendations that school districts must implement within one year or publicly explain non-compliance.

• State Department of Education must develop a listing of available school climate assessment instruments and convene an advisory committee on alternative discipline programs like restorative justice and positive behavioral interventions and supports.

• Legislative Analyst's Office must report by January 1, 2023 on changes in academic achievement, chronic absenteeism, suspension, expulsion, and dropout rates at targeted schools, with breakdown by pupil ethnicity and profiles of successful school climate implementations.

• All provisions of this chapter expire July 1, 2023, unless extended by later legislation; creates a state-mandated local program requiring reimbursement under established procedures.
