Extends the deadline for filing petitions or applications for sentence reduction under Proposition 47 from November 4, 2017 to November 4, 2022, or later upon showing of good cause.

Allows persons convicted of felonies that would be misdemeanors under Proposition 47 to petition courts for recall and resentencing, or to have felony convictions designated as misdemeanors after sentence completion.

Courts must grant resentencing unless they determine it would pose an unreasonable risk of danger to public safety, considering criminal history, disciplinary record, rehabilitation, and other relevant evidence.

Resentenced persons receive credit for time served and are subject to one year of parole supervision unless the court releases them from parole, and cannot own or possess firearms.

Persons with prior convictions for violent felonies or sex offenses requiring registration are ineligible for resentencing or conviction redesignation.
