Expands the Public Safety Officers Procedural Bill of Rights Act to include correctional officers employed by cities, counties, or city and counties in facilities housing specific inmate types, including parole violators and wards of the Director of the Youth and Adult Correctional Agency or Division of Juvenile Justice.

Creates a state-mandated local program that imposes new duties on local agencies to comply with the act's requirements for these additional correctional officers.

Requires reimbursement to local agencies and school districts for state-mandated costs pursuant to Part 7 of Division 4 of Title 2 of the Government Code if the Commission on State Mandates determines costs are mandated by the state.

Updates the definition of "public safety officer" in Government Code Section 3301 to include peace officers specified in Penal Code Sections 830.1 through 830.55, with specific exclusions noted.
