Extends the time period for plaintiffs to amend complaints to add causes of action under the Private Attorneys General Act from 60 days to 90 days after specified notice and investigation time periods.

Applies to civil actions alleging violations of Labor Code provisions listed in Section 2699.5, occupational safety violations, and other employment law violations.

Requires aggrieved employees to provide written notice to the Labor and Workforce Development Agency and employer by online filing and certified mail before commencing civil actions.

Establishes $75 filing fee for notices submitted to the agency, with fee waiver provisions available under Government Code Sections 68632 and 68633.

Becomes effective July 1, 2021 for one version of the amended statute, while another version remains in effect until July 1, 2021.
