Encourages the Department of Consumer Affairs and its boards, bureaus, and committees to create policies promoting fairness and equity in professional licensing fees.

Addresses concern that licensees pay hundreds to thousands of dollars for initial and ongoing license fees without ability to prorate fees based on actual time licensed.

References Assembly Bill 483 of the 2015-16 Regular Session, which proposed prorating license fees based on months elapsed between initial issuance and renewal (passed unanimously by Senate, 78-0 in Assembly).

Recognizes that professionals must complete hundreds of hours of training, education, internships, and other requirements to meet California licensing standards.

Directs the Chief Clerk of the Assembly to transmit copies of the resolution to the author for appropriate distribution.
