SB 105 - Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund: Investment Plan

• Expresses legislative intent to enact statutory changes necessary to implement the 2015 cap-and-trade investment plan for the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund

• Applies to moneys collected by the State Air Resources Board from market-based compliance mechanisms under the California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006

• Requires the Department of Finance, in consultation with the State Air Resources Board and other relevant state agencies, to develop a 3-year investment plan for deposited funds

• All collected moneys (except fines and penalties) from market-based compliance mechanisms must be deposited into the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund and are available upon legislative appropriation
