CA SB1115

Authorizes the Controller to examine records of persons under the Unclaimed Property Law without requiring the Controller to first believe the person failed to report property

Removes the requirement that a person must believe they failed to report property before their records can be examined by the Controller

Requires courts to award the Controller costs and attorney's fees if the Controller prevails in an action to enforce the Unclaimed Property Law

Makes technical clarifications to language in the Code of Civil Procedure regarding unclaimed property enforcement procedures
