Requires grand juries to conduct at least one exit interview with an official or representative of each entity receiving recommendations in a final report, where findings are read and discussed to verify accuracy.

Authorizes grand juries to provide draft findings to exit interviewees and allows affected entities to submit written comments within at least 5 working days, with draft findings remaining confidential.

Changes the timeline for providing report copies to affected entities from 2 working days to 6 working days before public release, and allows entities to submit a preliminary response within 6 working days of receipt.

Requires grand juries to publicly release preliminary responses from affected entities either by posting on a website or electronic transmission with the final report when the final report is released.

Allows governing bodies of affected entities to meet in closed session to discuss and prepare comments on confidential draft findings and preliminary responses to grand jury reports.

Operative beginning July 1, 2017.
