Amends Education Code Section 51220 to require financial literacy instruction within "consumer and homemaking education" courses offered in grades 7-12

Mandates that financial literacy instruction cover student loans, credit cards, and investment and retirement accounts

Applies to the applied arts area of study, which includes consumer and homemaking education, industrial arts, general business education, or general agriculture

Does not require a new appropriation or establish a state-mandated local program
