• Imposes a quality assurance fee on emergency medical transport providers effective July 1, 2017, subject to federal approval, with the annual fee rate calculated based on projected gross receipts and transport volumes.

• Authorizes the Director of Health Care Services to modify the fee methodology and exempt provider categories as needed to obtain federal approval, and provides for the article to become inoperative if federal approval is withdrawn or other specified conditions are met.
