Requires child care caregivers (both licensed and license-exempt) to complete a one-time, two-hour occupational health and safety training by July 1, 2019, or within three months of beginning work, whichever is later.

Training curriculum must cover chemical and biological hazards, infectious disease, physical hazards, and stress, developed by the State Department of Education in consultation with the State Department of Public Health and child care caregivers.

State Department of Education must contract with an entity to provide the training statewide and must compensate caregivers for their time attending the training.

Training must include small-group and large-group discussion, presentations by child care professionals, and opportunities for caregiver feedback.

Department and training provider must comply with the Dymally-Alatorre Bilingual Services Act to provide materials in non-English languages for substantial populations served.
