CA SB1472

Expands the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority board from 16 to 22 members.

Adds the Mayor of the City of Long Beach as a board member and increases public members appointed by the Mayor of Los Angeles from 2 to 3.

Increases city representatives from 4 to 8 members (two from each of four county sectors) appointed by the Los Angeles County City Selection Committee, excluding Los Angeles and Long Beach.

Adds two members appointed by the Speaker of the Assembly and the Senate Committee on Rules, selected from candidates submitted by the Los Angeles County City Selection Committee, with restrictions on residing in the same city as other board members.

Requires state reimbursement to local agencies if the Commission on State Mandates determines the bill imposes state-mandated costs.
