Waives the 7-day waiting period for individuals filing a subsequent disability benefits claim for the same or related condition within 60 days of their initial claim, provided they already served the waiting period on the initial claim (effective July 1, 2016).

Extends the time period for consecutive disability claims to be considered as one disability benefit period from 14 days to 60 days when claims are due to the same or related cause or condition (effective July 1, 2016).

Requires the Director of Employment Development to report to the Legislature by January 1, 2020 on the effects of the modified waiting period policy.
