Allows pupils serving as precinct board members for elections to qualify for independent study attendance credit without requiring 5+ consecutive schooldays of participation, provided specified conditions are met.

Requires pupils absent for precinct board service to complete all missed assignments and tests, with teachers ensuring work is reasonably equivalent to what was missed.

Requires pupils absent for precinct board service to complete a report or written assignment about their precinct board activities within a reasonable time after completion.

Specifies that absences for precinct board service shall generate state apportionment payments, unlike other excused absences which do not generate such payments.

Makes nonsubstantive changes including deleting an obsolete reference in Section 46300(d) regarding regional occupational programs and updating language in Section 48205(e).
