Expands workers' compensation coverage for peace officers employed by school district police departments to include hernia, pneumonia, heart trouble, tuberculosis, meningitis, and lower back impairments under the same conditions as other law enforcement and fire department personnel.

Peace officers employed by school district police departments must meet the same service requirements as other covered officers (e.g., 5 years for heart trouble presumptions, regular full-time salary where required) to qualify for presumed compensable injuries.

Establishes presumptions that specified illnesses and conditions are work-related injuries for covered officers, with these presumptions extending up to 60 months following termination of service based on years of service.

Clarifies that all presumed compensable injuries include full hospital, surgical, medical treatment, disability indemnity, and death benefits under California workers' compensation law.

Excludes clerical and office workers whose principal duties do not fall within active law enforcement, firefighting, or emergency response services from coverage.
