Amended Government Code Section 3003 to require elected officers to forfeit office upon conviction under the federal Stolen Valor Act of 2013 or California Stolen Valor Act involving fraudulent claims of military service made with intent to obtain money, property, or tangible benefit.

Expanded Penal Code Section 532b to create multiple misdemeanor offenses for fraudulently claiming military service or medals with intent to obtain financial remuneration, court proceeding effects, or military-related benefits from government entities.

Added new misdemeanor crimes including forging military documentation, utilizing falsified military identification, wearing unauthorized uniforms or decorations for employment or business purposes, and impersonating military members or veterans.

Defined "tangible benefit" to include financial remuneration, effects on criminal or civil court proceedings, and benefits relating to military service provided by federal, state, or local governmental entities.

Exempted face-to-face solicitations involving less than ten dollars from the law's application and determined no state reimbursement is required for local agencies implementing the new crime provisions.
