Establishes a 10-year statute of limitations for civil actions seeking damages from sexual assault that occurred after the plaintiff's 18th birthday, measured from the date of the last act of sexual assault by the defendant.

Provides an alternative 3-year statute of limitations measured from the date the plaintiff discovers or reasonably should have discovered that an injury or illness resulted from the sexual assault.

Defines sexual assault to include crimes under Penal Code Sections 243.4, 261, 262, 264.1, 286, 288a, and 289, as well as assaults with intent to commit or attempts to commit these crimes.

Applies to any civil action commenced on or after January 1, 2019.
