Requires the Department of Parks and Recreation to establish and maintain a comprehensive, up-to-date list on its Internet Web site of each state park system unit indicating whether dogs are allowed in the unit or specific portions of the unit.

The web site list must be completed by July 1, 2020, and may include information such as specific areas where dogs are permitted and the total miles of trail open to dogs.

Existing law permits animals in state parks when the Director determines it is in the public interest, subject to fees, rules, and regulations.

Animals must be under immediate control or confined and cannot pose threats to public safety, create nuisances, or threaten natural resources or park improvements.

Does not apply to dogs lawfully used to pursue game during hunting season at units where hunting is permitted.
