Establishes the Valley Fever Education, Early Diagnosis, and Treatment Act requiring the State Department of Public Health to conduct a valley fever awareness campaign targeting local health jurisdictions, providers, and the public.

Campaign must include information on valley fever symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, transmission, risk reduction, and at-risk populations including pregnant women, older adults, people with diabetes or weakened immune systems, and African Americans or Filipinos.

Department may provide outreach to endemic geographic regions, health care providers, professional associations, employers, and local public health officers, including physician education and resources.

Department authorized to award grants or enter into contracts to conduct campaign activities, exempt from competitive bidding requirements under the Public Contract Code.

Campaign provisions become inoperative and are repealed on January 1, 2021; funding provided through the 2018 state budget.
